Space Afrika

Joshua Inyang and Joshua Reid are not just from Manchester themselves; so is their music. Space Afrika's latest record on Dais Records, ‘Honest Labour’, is their defining statement to date. And, although made remotely, they come together perfectly, producing work DJ Mag called ‘staggeringly powerful’. Their dense, pensive dub is a sprawling thesis on the landscape of the working-class, black and British reality. Even if wordless, their sound, sometimes minimal, sometimes grand, demands careful listening.
