One would be hard-pressed to not be spellbound by Rəhman Məmmədli’s effervescent playing. The guitarist’s blazing practice sprung from one of Azerbaijan’s most tumultuous and transformative periods, and, in each note he produces, Məmmədli encapsulates the particular essence of that time. Over the course of his career, Məmmədli has become the emblem for the country’s gitara music - a unique musical subculture erected around the electric guitar. His talent for simulating the voice of classic mugham singers has garnered him the nickname ‘the man with singing fingers’, which he has honored through many solo and group endeavors.
