For every record he spins, Pedro Ricardo takes on new challenges. The artist, who will be doing a DJ set at Le Guess Who?, relies on the strength of the grooves he plays, bringing forth a feeling of intense freedom to the dance floor through a selection of warm, inviting rhythms. Jazz-fusion, disco, and funk are to be expected, but house and techno may be thrown into the mix occasionally - making it for a particularly ear-prickling sound. Having produced under several aliases, Pedro Ricardo has been a backstage pillar in the Portuguese music scene for years. His debut album, ‘Soprem Bons Ventos’, is out now via Soundway Records.
