M. Takara & Carla Boregas

M. Takara (Hurtmold, São Paulo Underground) and Carla Boregas (RAKTA, Fronte Violeta) have been making strides in the Brazilian music scene in their regard for years, but, as a duo, they feel like an entirely new entity - and water has everything to do with it. Both their 2020 debut album ‘Linha D'​Á​gua’ and the newer ‘Grande Massa D'Agua’ emphasize the aquatic themes of their music in their titles. Blending Borega’s snug electronics with Takara’s jazz-leaning percussion, they present a vibrant sound, whose freshness is akin to a summer swim.
