Legowelt presents: Ambient Trip Commander
Ambient Melodies Reimagined Realities
Ambient Trip Commander is a 70-minute hand-drawn animated film created by electronic musician, composer and visual artist Legowelt (Danny Wolfers). The film follows Samantha Tapferstern, a synthesizer shop employee who receives a mysterious invitation from a hacker group to visit a secluded Alpine village, setting her off on a sinister night-train adventure. A cult figure among electro and synthesizer enthusiasts, Legowelt will accompany the film with a live performed soundtrack for this occasion.
The screening and performance will be followed by a Q&A moderated by DJ/producer and true music lover Freek Fabricius.
This performance is part of Ambient Melodies, Reimagined Realities. Through tactile technologies, ambient melodies and reimagined realities, the program explores what it means to find one’s voice within, beyond and against the structures that shape our world.
Ambient Melodies, Reimagined Realities is a music program co-curated by Antenne, Creative Coding Utrecht and Sounds Like Touch, as part of Some Call It Love, Others Biodiversity.
