Kampire

According to Resident Advisor, “a scene-leading DJ who can connect the dots between the past, present and future of African club music,” Kampire is among East Africa's most exciting DJs and a core member of the Nyege Nyege collective. Her vibrant bass-heavy sets have transported her to bring the best of Ugandan party culture to clubs & festivals across the world. Her album A Dancefloor in Ndola is an evocative compilation that flows through different East African and South African genres from Congolese rumba and soukous to 1980s township bubblegum and the rich guitar-led sounds of Zambian kalindula.
