James Holden's 'Imagine This Is A High Dimensional Space Of All Possibilities' may sound fresh, but his 2023 release is also a fond look back at the musician's twenty-year spanning career. The UK electronic tinkerer's musical life is full of diversity, be it in roles assumed (producer, remixer, DJ, record label boss, synth maestro, band leader, mix engineer, and software developer) or in genres explored (trance, progressive house, minimal techno, IDM, synth, and jazz). His latest rave record, however, is the one his teenage self ‘wanted to make’. Holden is taking his improvisation-ready live set-up on the road, plus select guest performers.
