Holy Tongue
Heavily influenced by dub reggae, Holy Tongue share a deep appreciation for experimental dub, improvised music and post-punk. Originally conceived as a studio collaboration between maverick percussionist Valentina Magaletti (best known for her work with Vanishing Twin, Moin, V/Z and numerous other collaborations) and producer Al Wootton (specializing in experimental electronic sounds), Holy Tongue expanded into a live trio with the addition of bassist and multi-instrumentalist Susumu Mukai (aka Zongamin). The result is a psychedelic, free-form, high energy, spiritual fusion of dub and dance music that creates space to the three musicians’ dynamic interplay.
