EXEK
This February, Australian post-punk, atmosphere, and dub-inspired band EXEK released their album, 'Advertise Here', via Castle Face Records. The cheekily-titled record echoes the work of forebearers Holger Czukay and Jaki Liebezeit of Can, and Jah Wobble of Public Image Ltd. However, it also prompts late Portishead, Beak>, and (of course) the band's own signature, yet ever-developing sound. Sinister, beautiful, and sincere without ever not being fun, the band's latest addition to their varied discography is an exciting step into a delightfully unknown direction.
