The solo project of Luxembourgish-Finnish musician Maria Rossi has been described as one of the most striking ones to emerge from Glasgow’s underground scene in a decade. Conjuring simple yet otherworldly songs on nourishment and precarity, Cucina Povera’s unique sonic palette can be experienced across four records. The latest, ‘Lumme’, has been recorded across Europe and explores an eclectic range of styles - with Rossi’s voice serving, as always, as a beaming lighthouse for the entire journey.
