Amparo Heredia "La Repompilla"
Curated by Tropical Fuck Storm
A commanding flamenco singer, Amparo Heredia has lent her voice to many of the art form’s most celebrated dancers. Born in Málaga, she started performing in her late teens in renowned flamenco tablaos in the US and Mexico City, before returning to Spain to collaborate with leading companies and artists. Even though she devoted her art to singing for dance accompanying other, she’s a magnetic performer herself, and her unique voice carries Gitano musical tradition to audiences throughout Andalusia and beyond.
