Aïta Mon Amour
Consisting of pioneering rapper Widad Mjama and a prominent figure in the Arab electronic scene, Khalil Epi, Aïta Mon Amour offers a bold and contemporary reinterpretation of Aïta—the poetic, rural blues tradition embodied by the Chikhates, women singers and guardians of a centuries-old practice. Rooted in Moroccos's musical heritage yet charged with a distinct contemporary pulse, the duo weave powerful vocals, hip-hop, hypnotic electronics and traditional rhythms into music that is both ancestral and forward-looking: a vibrant dialogue between tradition and experimentation that brings Aïta into a new sonic landscape.
