COSMOS is Le Guess Who?'s hybrid platform for collaboration with international partners to create audio-visual material that showcases their local scenes. This year a new edition is presented - back to collaborate with embassies worldwide.
We invite vibrant music communities from every corner of the map to become COSMOS Embassies, and to share their stories–both online and offline–through mixtapes, film, live radio, conversations and performances.
Each year, the Embassies present commissioned short documentaries about their local scenes. These films are screened at the festival as well as freely available online via leguesswho.com/cosmos. In 2023, the COSMOS Embassies were located in Vietnam (V2X Mag), Greece (stegi.radio), Canada (POP Montréal), Australia (Liquid Architecture), UAE (Sharjah Art Foundation), Peru (Buh Records), Ghana (Oroko Radio), and Indonesia (NORRM & LaMunai Records).
