Accommodation in Utrecht is in high demand during the festival. Therefore, it is recommended to also look into accommodation options in the surrounding areas of Utrecht, where there may be more rooms available, including budget-friendly options.

If you are staying outside of Utrecht during the festival, there are trains and buses running throughout the day that connect you to cities, such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Hoofddorp, Amersfoort, Zeist, Hilversum and Woerden. After midnight, travel options from Utrecht to these cities are still available. 

The Dutch Railways

To travel with NS (the Dutch Railways) you can either buy a single-use chipcard or an OV-chipkaart at the ticket machine (note: the OV-chipkaart can also be used to travel with public transport in Utrecht and most notably to hire a useful OV-bike at the NS stations). Purchased train tickets are valid from 0.00 AM on the travel date until 04.00 AM on the following morning.
