Buddy to Buddy matches newcomers to citizens based on equality, shared interests and a lot of ‘gezelligheid’. It helps newcomers get out of social isolation and it involves fellow citizens with the integration of their new neighbors. Olga sent me this Russian music and I never would have listened to any Russian music if I hadn’t met her. And I think what I liked about it is just how different it is from the type of music I usually listen to. That’s what I like and why I wanted to do Buddy to Buddy. To meet people that I wouldn’t meet in my day to day life and to experience new things and different cultures. - Phoebe
