In October last year, the duo of Noa Kurzweil (Supertalented) and Levi Lanser (Ludittes) released their genre-defying three-and-a-half hour debut, Sent from my Telephone, under the moniker of Voice Actor. Now, the experimental pop duo shares what can be considered a condensed version of their debut.
Consisting of 13 tracks chosen from the initial pool of no less than 109 songs, along with the addition of three new tracks, Fake Sleep showcases Voice Actor's venture into a broader range of musical styles within a significantly shorter runtime compared to their debut. This release seamlessly transitions between tracks with a predominantly ambient atmosphere and those featuring a more pronounced pop influence. Listen below.
Voice Actor perform at Le Guess Who? 2023 on Saturday, 11 November and Sunday, 12 November. Also performing at the festival are a.o. Lost Girls, Alan Sparhawk, and Nyokabi Kariũki.
