As El Kontessa, producer, DJ, and multidisciplinary artist Fajr Soliman deconstructs Cairo’s soundscapes and combines them with accelerating polyrhythms, echoing Mahraganat percussion, vocal hits and bursts of synths, turning them into multilayered sonic explorations.
Since debuting in 2018, El Kontessa has been a staple of Egypt’s alternative music scene. Now, she announces her new album Nos Habet Caramel, which will be released via Bilna'es on 28 July. In anticipation of the release, El Kontessa shares Mesh Marshmellow: a deconstructed but equally hypnotic electronic that clearly shows El Kontessa's adventurous spirit without ever disconnecting from the listener.
