Stereolab

Curated by Stereolab
A little over thirty years ago, avant-pop icons Stereolab splashed onto the scene with 1992’s ‘Peng’, a debut more agleam than most, revealing a charisma many bands never possess. Three decades later, a vast catalog drapes behind the Anglo-French band led by Tim Gane and Lætitia Sadier; despite their latest studio outing turning thirteen this year, they have kindly left, like clues to a treasure hunt, enough bits and bobs of genius scattered throughout their discography to keep listeners enthralled for life. To revisit Stereolab is to relive a brave new world, in which politics, philosophy, funk jazz, and bossa nova cheerfully cohabit forever.
