Curator: Patrick Higgins (2019)

He reimagines classical composers like Bach with modern-day instrumentation. He interrogates the role of individuality in the digital world. He tackles the cataclysms of climate change. Indeed, music is Patrick Higgins’ chosen tool to achieve a deeper understanding of the world and its issues.

The mind-boggling projects of this New York-based composer and guitarist are often more akin to science expeditions than traditional concerts. Like John Cage before him, Higgins is keen and headstrong in exploring the possibilities and limits of music. So naturally, his curated line-up will feature many like-minded, boundary-pushing pioneers.
