‘PERFORMANCE RAGE’ is the latest entry into percussionist, sound manipulator, and visual artist NAH’s explosive sound catalog. The release’s name drives at the Philadelphia-born, Belgium-based performer’s defining musical ethos, which has been honed through recording and touring for over a decade. Since 2011, NAH has developed a unique dynamic synthesis of mutated samples, textured noise, and boundary-crossing rhythms. Recently, he has branched out with a series of collaborations with names such as Moor Mother, Obongjayar, and fellow Le Guess Who? performer (and curator) Slauson Malone, among many others.
