As sparkplug of dubstep’s golden age the previous decade, Mala is now part of a select group of producers taking it to thrilling forward-thinking pastures. Responsible for some of the genre’s most iconic cuts, Mala ventures outside of the dubstep paradigms by embracing vinyl culture and exploring the fine subtleties of Cuban and Peruvian music. He still knows his way around them resounding low bass frequencies, but peppers it up with a multitude of palatable sonic flavors.
