Artist in Residence: Alabaster dePlume
Jazz musician and poet Alabaster dePlume is Le Guess Who? 2021’s Artist in Residence. DePlume can be described as many things: a cleric of the written word, a maverick of sound, a conductor of communion. Unexpectedly, he garnered a substantial breakthrough in 2020 with his gorgeous compilation album ‘To Cy & Lee: Instrumentals Vol. 1’, a collection of improvisational recordings that delineate the human experience of profoundly connecting through music.
