Trio SonCe

An international musical threesome made up of members from Ukraine, Catalunya, Turkey, and, all of them also, the Netherlands, comes together in Trio SonCe, who present 'Five Seasons' – a fascinating project based on a series of ancient ritual songs plucked from various Ukrainian folk repertoires. Vocals, cello, and woodwinds conspire to create a sound that, albeit based on folkloric ground, pursues these melodies in all but conventional forms; all three of the participating musicians are worldly and versatile, characteristics which feed the unique interplay heard on their music.
