Vivien Goldman
Throughout her chronicle of life, it’s easy to understand how Vivien Goldman earned the title ‘Punk Professor’. In the 70s, Goldman wasn’t simply satisfied standing on the sidelines as a renowned author, journalist, teacher and publicist. She became a vital cog in the movement herself as a recording artist, becoming a key figure in marrying the ethos of punk with the sensibilities of reggae, Afrobeat and Caribbean music. To boot, she recorded with the likes of Robert Wyatt, John Lydon, and Adrian Sherwood, and wrote the very first book about Bob Marley.
