This summer’s lively ‘Soola’ is The Homesick announcing themselves back, renewed and reshaped. The Frisian trio, made up of Erik Woudwijk on the drums, Elias Elgersma on the guitar and vocals, and Jaap van der Velde on the guitar, synthesizer, and vocals, had been a staple of the Dutch noise-pop scene over the course of three records. These propelled the band into touring all over Europe - and amassing a sturdy fan base along their way. This year, The Homesick are returning to the stage to showcase their new self-titled album - an extension of the reintroduction kickstarted by the rhythm-infused, colored-in sonic textures of ‘Soola’.
