Slauson Malone was the moniker of LA-based multidisciplinary artist and musician Jasper Marsalis. With Slauson Malone 1, he returns to explore the intersections of popular music and performance art. Past record releases of his include 2019’s ‘A Quiet Farwell, 2016–2018 (Crater Speak)’, and the compact and thought-provoking ‘Vergangenheitsbewältigung (Crater Speak)’, launched in 2020. For Le Guess Who?, Slauson Malone 1, both performer and curator, is joined by cellist Nicky Wetherell. Together, they'll bring the musician's surreal sound collages to life.
