On 'Space 1.8', Caribbean-Belgian composer, producer, and musician Nala Sinephro’s debut record, music is a delicate, yet powerful, force. The London-based artist, who composed, produced, performed, engineered, recorded, and mixed the record at the age of twenty-two, bases her music practice on this metaphysical premise. Her work fuses meditative sounds, jazz sensibilities, folk, and field recordings. On the album, modular synths and pedal harps are Sinephro’s exploration tools. In 2021, she joined Warp Records' roster, where she carries on weaving a sonic tapestry uniquely hers.
