You can only mix so many flavors of Kool-Aid before its colors start to smear. Hereby lies the inspiration behind vocalist Pink Siifu and producer Ahwlee (pronounced “Ali”)’s group name. ‘I was like, oh, shit, that’s us’, Siifu told Fader. ‘We mix everything together, and it’s Black too’. This March, the duo shared their third album, ‘Leather Blvd’, a Black utopia populated by an ensemble cast of characters and collaborators. When stepping into it, says HipHopDX, expect ‘street wisdom, elegance, and transcending sounds of summertime’.
