Attila Csihar, Void ov Voices
Friday
Cult metal vocalist Attila Csihar has often played a part in wholes; be it Tormentor, the infamous Hungarian metal band where he got his start in the mid-eighties, to Mayhem and Sunn O))), the singer is no stranger to collaboration. This year, however, Csihar launched his first solo album as Void Ov Voices, an expedition started in 2008. 'Void Ov Voices: Baalbek', released via Stephen O'Malley's Ideological Organ, was recorded in the Monolith of Baalbek archeological site in Lebanon and is expectedly haunting. 'To say he has been a fundamental inspiration of art music creation is an understatement', writes O'Malley of Csihar.
