Oiseaux-Tempête & Friends gave an overwhelming and immersive performance at Le Guess Who? 2019, joined on stage by G.W. Sok (King Champion Sounds, formerly The Ex), Jessica Moss (Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band), Mondkopf and Radwan Ghazi Moumneh (Jerusalem In My Heart, also LGW17 curator). Oiseaux-Tempête’s cross-cultural, multi-genre improv rock has a tendency to unfold in places of turmoil, recording records in Greece, Turkey and Lebanon in the past. The core duo of Frédéric D. Oberland and Stéphane Pigneul strongly embraces the communal and collaborative aspects of music. All musicians part of the special performance at Le Guess Who? were also involved in Oiseaux-Tempête’s newest album ‘From Somewhere Invisible’, released in October 2019. We now share the audio of the full performance, which took place in TivoliVredenburg's Ronda. "Friday was also off to a triumphant start with Oiseaux-Tempête, who performed one of our favourite sets of LGW? 2017, back then in a much smaller venue. Two years on, they were even more powerful and impressive, performing with guests who collaborated on the new album, including G.W. Sok, Mondkopf and Jean-Michel Pirès, as well as Jessica Moss on violin and Radwan Ghazi Moumneh on electric buzuk and modular system." - Cast the Dice Oiseaux-Tempête & Friends:G.W.Sok – vocalsMondkopf – analog synthsJessica Moss – electric violinRadwan Ghazi Moumneh – electric buzuk, modular system, voiceFrédéric D.
