Brooklyn-based noise/rock band Ice Balloons features Sean Kennerly (Samiam) on bass and vocals, Kyp Malone (TV on the Radio) on synthesizers and modules, and Lyla Vander (Habibi) on drums and vocals. According to the band itself, it was a ‘common misinterpretation of psychosis’ that led Ice Balloons to start making music.
The group performed live at TivoliVredenburg’s Pandora during Le Guess Who? 2021. You can now listen & relive the entire performance, curated by Matana Roberts for the festival. The show also features several new songs: 'When You Bike By', 'Killed By Pleasure' and 'Black Spandex' will all be on the band's next album.
