San Francisco platform The Earth Girl Helen Brown Center For Planetary Intelligence Band (or E.G.H.B.C.P.F.I.B), lead by Helen Brown, was first devised by Sonny Smith for his 100 Records Project. However, the other-wordly character quickly took up a meaning of her own, perfectly combining two seemingly antagonistic worlds when backed up by her band of collaborators; other-wordly intentions with a rootsy, earthy twang.
