On Thursday 19 March, U? collaborates with music platform Subbacultcha for Centraal Laat, an event at Utrecht's Centraal Museum. During Centraal Laat, the museum transforms into a vibrant place for meeting, reflection and inspiration—an event that ties in with the exhibition Move You Fool in the museum.

Move You Fool
In the exhibition Move You Fool, Shertise Solano brings art and tarot together in an innovative way. Together with Catrien Schreuder, curator of modern art at Centraal Museum, Solano held several tarot sessions. Their conversations about tarot, art and life form the basis of this exhibition.
Together with Subbacultcha, we're organizing a spiritual evening with live music and art, presented by artists who give their own spin on the themes that are present in the exhibition.

Live music: Phantom Wizard
Phantom Wizard is a composer and improviser whose work dissolves boundaries and reimagines traditions. Rather than controlling sound, he attempts to guide it. Nurturing a space where multiple truths can coexist. This principle is the core of ‘Fribari’, a sonic philosophy.
Phantom Wizard blends natural soundscapes, the sonorities of Afro-diasporic music, experimental electronics and the many ancient traditions sourced from the Surinamese melting pot. During Centraal Laat, he will pay tribute to water in its many forms.
Dance performance: Oumar Jalloh
Oumar Jalloh is a multidisciplinary artist specialized in dance. As an artist, Jalloh believes it is important to create from a place of vision—a vision where freedom in creative expression takes center stage. This vision emphasizes standing in authenticity and experiencing it as something independent.
Live performance: Indra Diallo x Rebecca Wijnruit
Indra Diallo is a harpist and therapeutic harpist who believes in the importance of a sensitive society in which we, as human beings, form healthy connections with open hearts. Her artistic journey takes her back to her roots in music and culture, combining West African rhythms with Western classical styles. She developed a unique sound early on leaving a mark in the heart of listeners. Her style is unique in the harp world and has led to collaborations with various artists, brands and institutions working on health, wellbeing & art. For this presentation the listener will be taken on a mirroring journey about self-reflection, meditation and truth telling constructs via movement and sound.
Rebecca Wijnruit is a contemporary dancer and creator. Her work revolves around contrasts and transformations—between structure and freedom, between expectation and surprise. In her work, Wijnruit explores the ways in which bodies can break free from imposed norms, and how we can use movement to tell a different story than what we are used to seeing.
Listening session: Maguette Dieng presents s(a)(e)cre(d)(t) wisdom
A listening session inspired by Senegalese divination traditions, which utilize systems such as cowrie shell reading. These ancestral divination methods—passed down through generations—remain vibrant and influential spiritual practices on the African continent to this day. They offer a means of finding clarity, direction, and protection: a way to explore the future and unfold the present.
Live performance: Beauty Trials
Beauty Trials is an experiment in spiritual disillusionment. They demonstrate a multifaceted, ambient approach to tarot resonances. The ensemble consists of students Sam Zwart and Sam O’Connell, along with alumna Carmela Michailidis of the HKU Utrecht Conservatory. Beauty Trials originated within the Musician 3.0 department—a place where they further developed their improvisation skills and blossomed as interdisciplinary performance makers. Their sound blends ambient, experimental jazz, and shoegaze, moving between texture and space, structure and spontaneity.
Tarot readings: Sjoeke Marije
Sjoeke-Marije Wallendal is a theatre maker, body-oriented therapist, and tarot reader. As a director, she creates work that engages the audience and engages all the senses. Come for a mini-reading to help you gain clarity about a dilemma, question, or blockage you’re currently facing. You can also join without a specific question and simply listen to what the tarot has to say.
