Álvaro Romero is William Burroughs in the middle of a flamenco rave; Pedro da Linha is Lisbon’s well kept secret, bubbling beneath the city's cobblestones. Through their 2022 collaboration, the Spanish singer and the Portuguese producer seek to combine their cultures, as well as influences that have traveled from African and American transoceanic territories into their shared peninsula throughout the centuries. Avant-garde electronic music and traditional flamenco are merely an outlet for a journey that is at times purely sensuous and anatomical, at others a thoughtful critique of the exploitation provoked by colonization
