Wau Wau Collectif
This cosmic project began when producer Karl Jonas Winqvist befriended multi-instrumentalist Arouna Kane in Toubab Dialaw. In this village, an hour away from Dakar, Wingvist began improvising with Kane and the rest of the local art community; their Senegal recordings made their way to Sweden, where they were primed for release in the shape of ‘Yaral Sa Doom’. They are releasing another borderless and genre-bending collection of joyous music - ‘Marriage’, this fall; with it, they will tour Europe for the first time.
