Unfinished Conversations
YUMNA
Moments of encounter carry worlds within them. An exchange of intimacy, laughter, care – sometimes even a sense of community. For YUMNA, creating meaningful moments for Muslim women is therefore essential. At the same time, they know these moments are often fleeting. Thoughts are left unsaid, stories are waiting to be told and at one point you just have spent too many hours at the door opening after saying goodbye.
Through the podcast Unfinished Conversations YUMNA captures glimpses of conversations that invite to be further unpacked. During this gathering you can listen to the first live recording. As a follow-up from the research ‘A spiritual home for Us’, they will speak about the value of community spaces – and especially when spaces are designed with the intention to center faith. What are the spaces where our different walks of life and a shared faith intersect?
As YUMNA is currently in the process of designing a physical space with spatial designer Nabiha Zaïd, they will translate elements of this design into their venue space, De Voorkamer. Expect a dreamy, playful and intentional experience.
