With a distinct mix of alternative and experimental music, gritty poetry and visual art, The Woman creates an immersive performance that is punk in attitude, open in emotion and radical in honesty. Led by Sheyda Abolfath, the project tells the melodramatic story of the modern man in search of a soul, while portraying the world as an ugly, dirty and elusive place where beauty can be found for those who listen.
The freely accessible program totally wired celebrates DIY culture, the communities that shape it, and the connections forged across borders through local scenes, diasporas and intersections.
