How exactly to describe one of Australia’s greatest cult bands? Avant-garde? Jazz? Ambient? Somehow, none suffice. Safe to say, the trio made up of Chris Abrahams, Tony Buck, and Lloyd Swanton (on the piano, drums, and bass, respectively), have quietly carved themselves a truly unique place in all of these scenes - and more! - throughout their decades-long career. Together, the three musicians have forged a creative chemistry that is at once felt upon hearing them, yet, impossible to explain. Perhaps Unseen Recordings said it best, as they described the band as sounding ‘like nothing and everything all at once’.
