Discourse program
This talk is curated by AZEEMA, an independent fashion and culture magazine/creative agency celebrating women and non-binary folk of the diasporas. This conversation questions the importance of archiving culture through music in general. What does it mean for the SWANA diaspora, especially women and non-binary folk, to preserve culture, heritage and tradition through audio? These are some of the questions AZEEMA will be exploring in this panel, along with others such as: why do we archive, why is there a lack of archives, and how do our communities in the SWANA region archive as opposed to those in the West?
Moderated by AZEEMA with guest speakers Mayssa Jallad, Prof. Hannah Elsisi + more TBA.
