Talk: Composing for Moving Image
Friday
13:15 - 14:30
Zaal 2 - Slachtstraat Filmtheater
The process of composing music for a film is intricate. Weaving together specific sounds and visuals to evoke certain emotions requires immense imagination and dedication. How does a creator of moving images, as well as a composer, perceive this process and its outcome? How can the sounds accompanying a moving image—serving as a fundamental pillar of the narrative—be deconstructed? And can these sounds be reinterpreted to give new meaning to the moving images?
