Shake Chain strings together synth, guitar, bass, and drums with lead singer Kate Mahony’s blood-curdling screams and viral pop culture sound bites. It is this way the London four-piece has been challenging audiences for the best part of the last three years with music that is authentically punk in sound and essence. Their self-titled debut, released last year via Upset The Rhythm, is a manic record, bound to be loved by some, loathed by others, and forever etched into everyone's memory. It is precisely their opinion-dividing sound, stirred up by their undeniable singularity, that makes them feel dangerously and effortlessly exciting.
