The sound of Bogotá-based group Romperayo - one that infuses tradition with modernity, psychedelia with cumbia, and experimentalism with humor - is a natural fit for the new Colombian music scene keen on re-interpreting their roots in mischievous ways. Romperayo has a lot in common with Meridian Brothers, Frente Cumbiero, and Los Pirañas - so much so that Pedro Ojeda, drummer of Romperayo, is also the drummer for this last joint.
