Although Psychic Ills started as a bedroom recording project fifteen years ago, this New York-based band has been in constant evolution ever since. Never one to shy away from experiment, their music is grounded in deeply hypnotic, psychedelic grooves. Psychic Ills evolved their sound by taking pilgrimages into country, blues, gospel, and jazz. Driven by krautrock grooves and thick synthesizers textures, Psychic Ills’ music is filled with soul-scorching melodies and gracious melancholia.
