Congolese-born, Montreal-based musician, songwriter, and leading force of the collective Moonshine, Pierre Kwenders sketches memories and visions by singing and rapping in Lingala, French, English, Tshiluba, and Kikongo - bypassing the dividing lines of time, language, and geography. 'José Louis and The Paradox of Love', his latest album, continues the transgression by breaking the boundaries of genre and telling stories through the vernacular of electronic, pop, and rumba - as a result of being recorded across cultures and places, such as Montreal, Lisbon, and New York.
