French label Versatile Records prides itself on encouraging artists to stray far from the norm. ‘Jours De Grève’, helmed by French folk muse Emmanuelle Parrenin and German electronic maverick Detlef Weinrich (Toulouse Low Trax), confirms this mission. The record combines two sides of one very abnormal coin. Sometimes primitive, other times futuristic, the tribal drums and the ethereal vocals take us on a journey to some far-away land that may not even exist yet. For their performance at LGW, they will be joined by special guest Quentin Rollet on sax (Nurse with Wound).
