Seven years after her stunning 2017 debut ‘Ahwar’ sent ripples through the experimental music scene, Montreal-based producer and vocalist Nadah El Shazly has further propelled her sound to territories unknown. Most recently, on 2024’s ‘Pollution Opera’ (a collaboration with Elvin Brandh), she has dived further down the electronic drain and fished out ‘an uncompromising futurist depiction of our disfigured, dystopian, and dying reality’. A long-time friend to Le Guess Who?, El Shazly is back to play new material together with Sarah Page on harp and 3Phaz on electronics.
