Following a decade of sonic research, 'Veines', Merakhaazan's second LP, is the France-based artist's vision materialized. Surrounded by an array of influences, ranging from post-rock and jazz to cinematic universes, 'Veines' is a heavily populated record; so much so that one is driven to disbelief that the double bass is the only instrument heard throughout. However, masterfully manipulated by Merakhaazan, it takes infinite shapes, thanks to the use of a loop device and other effects. The project has been mastered by engineer Joe Lambert, known for his work with Nick Cave, Johnny Cash, and more.
