Devotional pop polymath accurately starts to describe Paris-based singer, songwriter, producer, and director Yasmine Dubois, AKA KUKII. The beguiling artist of Egyptian and Iranian descent’s music was first unveiled in 2019’s ‘Ancestor Boy’, reviewed by Loud and Quiet as ‘a thrillingly eclectic and unremittingly ambitious tear through not only her passport but her imagination’. Lafawndah has spent the past five years perfecting her craft, a progression to be heard on the upcoming third LP. Now, Lafawndah is determined to further dig into her exploration of live musicianship, inspired by a series of trips to Egypt.
