In this concert, two virtuosos of ancient instruments unite to display their exceptional talents and introduce us to otherwise perhaps unheard musical gems. This crossover, however, is not new; Iranian kamancheh player Kayan Kalhor and Anatolian baglama ace Erdal Erzincan have actually been playing together for a decade, as their paths first crossed for the 2004 album ‘The Wind’. They have carefully refined their on-stage kinship over the years. Now, they come with a fully-formed, profound, and spirited celebration of Kurdish music and culture for us all to joyously partake in.
