Kali Malone's 'Does Spring Hide Its Joy' ft. Lucy Railton & Stephen O’Malley

During the 2020 lockdown, composer, organist, and synthesist Kali Malone found herself in Berlin with time and conceptual space to spare. So, she decided to form an ensemble with her close friends and collaborators Lucy Railton and Stephen O'Malley - and 'Does Spring Hide Its Joy' came to be. The piece, featuring O'Malley on guitar, Lucy Railton on cello, and Malone herself on tune sine wave oscillators is a quiet, enveloping work of art, in which Malone's continued nuanced minimalism (following the release of the critically acclaimed record ‘Living Torch’ the previous year) inspires deeply contemplative mind-wandering.
